K9 Donation

December 2011 - Delivered $361.40 to the Delaware Humane Society (Yard sale proceeds) to assist with the building of a new facility. The group also delivered the food and supplies they collected in October to the Salem County Humane Society.

November 2011 - Held a bake sales and raised $720. The group will use the money for future donations and projects.

October 2011 - The group held their 3rd food and supply drive to benefit the Salem County Humane Society.

May 2011 - Participated in the Woodstown community yard sales and raised $361.40.

February 2011 - With the news of the K-9 Officer injured in Salem City the kids organized a donation jar. The group collected $311.50 and donated it to the Salem County K-9 Association in honor of the injured K-9, Jordan. The kids and some friends presented the check to K-9 Officer Rob Hans. They then got to meet Ben and Spartan, 2 of Salem County's finest K-9s. Ben and Spartan enjoyed showing off their skills to the Animal Lovers.

December 2010 - The group held their 2nd annual food and supply drive benefiting the Salem County Humane Society.

September 2010 - The Animal Lovers group visited 2 local organizations and presented them with a donation. Their first stop was at the Tri State Bird Rescue. The kids received a tour of the facilities and learned many facts about the organization. The Bird Rescue was chosen to receive $300 because of their involvement in the gulf oil spill clean-up.

The group then stopped at the Pennsville Pound. They presented the pound with a $100 donation and visited with many of the animals currently being cared for at the facilities. The Pennsville Pound was chosen by the group because of their dependence on donations.

Woodstown 4th of July ParadeJuly 2010 - Entered a float in the Woodstown 4th of July parade to promote animal cruelty awareness.

April 2010 - The Salem County, NJ local newspaper, Today's Sunbeam, interviewed the group for a local interest story.

March 2010 - After donating the items they collected in December, the group decided they would volunteer their time to the Humane Society. So in March the kids went back and spent a morning helping the staff clean and care for the animals.

December 2009 - The Animal Lovers collected and delivered over 250 food and supply items to the Salem County Humane Society. The group organized a month long drive to help collect the items.

November 2009 - A group of 3rd and 4th graders from Salem County, NJ got together and formed "The Animal Lovers". The seven members all share a common passion, their love of animals.
